Frequently Asked Questions

On the Clock Auctions is an online draftboard built specifically for LIVE Fantasy Football Auction-style drafts. More specifically, those drafts where all team owners get together in the same room and the draft is run by a live Auctioneer.

The Auctioneer keeps up with the action in real time while projecting the draftboard for everyone to view. Team owners can log into the draft themselves to view summary and details views in realtime such as amount remaining, min/max roster spend, timeouts remaining and a breakdown of positions drafted.

Commissioner - User that created the draft. Can change any draft settings, import a Draftlist and has full access on the Draft Board.

Auctioneer - Cannot change any settings or import a Draftlist but has full access on the Draft Board. The device logged in as the Auctioneer should be the device that is projected/displayed on draft day.

Once the Auctioneer has verbally count the player down and the winning bid is in the bid amount text box, use the dropdown and select the winning team. If a team is ineligible to draft the current player (due to roster restrictions) they will not be available. Click the DRAFT button to add the player to the team. The next player in the draft list will be up and the bid amount will reset to the draft's minimum bid.

To skip a player that has gone undrafted, the Auctioneer will simply need to click the SKIP button. The player is skipped but is still available to be nominated.

To remove a player drafted to the wrong team or for the wrong amount, the Auctioneer must first go to the Detail view of the Draftboard. Then, hover over the player to be removed and click the trash can icon. A prompt will verify the action and advise of how many deletes remain. Up to 10 players can be removed after being drafted.

Nominate from draft list or add player manually.

If your league has keepers, we recommend adding them via the nomination process at $0 right at the beginning of the draft.

1. Click the Pencil icon
2. Either search the draftlist or click the + button to manually add a player
3. Enter $0 in the draft amount
4. Select the team the player should be added to
5. Click DRAFT!

We know how live drafts go...bathroom breaks and phone calls. Use the break timer to reel the stragglers in and keep your draft moving. Select the duration of the break and click the BREAK button. End the break at any time and continue the draft where you left off.  Predefined break times include 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 minutes.

If the draft is configured to allow teams to take timeouts, the number of timeouts remaining will be displayed in the Summary view under each team. Using the controls in the top right, the Auctioneer uses the Timeout dropdown to select the team that verbially called the timeout. Only teams with timeouts remaining will be displayed in list.  Once the team is selected, click the Timeout button. The clock will be displayed counting down the seconds configured for the draft. The Auctioneer can end the countdown at any time by clicking the End Timeout button and bidding can continue.

Bid increments allow for varying increases over the minimum bid and are based on the number of picks taken. After the last round before a bid increment change, a message will be displayed that the bid increment is about to change for the next player.  The new bid increment would be the minimum increase over the minimum bid can be made.

For example:

Minimum Bid = 1
Bid Increment = .50

For those rounds, bids wil start at 1 and can increase at .50 increments.

Each time the Randomize button is clicked, a list of all teams is presented in a random order. This can be used to set draft orders or break verbal ties.

The commissioner can import a custom draft list from the Draft List tab.

On the Clock maintains a draft list that is used any time a new draft is created. This draft list can be downloaded, manipulated and re-imported to use draft list of your league's choice. The commissioner can reset a draft's draft to the most current list from the Dashboard by entering the draft and selecting the Draft List tab. At the bottom of the screen click the USE DEFAULT button to reset your draft's draft list to the current list maintained by OTC>

To download a copy of your draft's draft list, from the Dashboard click the Owner button under the team name of the desired draft. Once inside the draft and viewing the countdown, select the Reports tab. Click the Draft List button and click the Download button to download your draft list as a .csv file.
